House Sales

House sales still are one of my top places to obtain great tins.  These are from one 1/2 mile from my house last weekend. The cowgirl images are so cool.  Do I cut that tin or not?

Fortunate

I am incredibly fortunate to meet people who donate tins to me. One grouping is from a woman whom I met at a craft show in Rochester. The other group is from a woman who lives in my home town and frequents house sales I attend, too.

New Year- New Toys part 2

This is the next installment of new tools and materials for the new year.  After working for the holiday rush through out the fall and early winter, it is nice to have some new things to lure me back into the studio.  I found a source for vintage brass findings, plus, new wire for ear wires, a new riveting hammer, some polishing tools, new burs, and, of course, new tins!

Raw Materials

A good shopping trip of second hand shops yesterday netted these great finds: an old wooden folding ruler, lots of small tin molds from France, and three great tins: great patina, patterns and colors.

What will these become?

Just back from a lovely trip to the coast of Maine and was able to find some great tins.  Look for these in the upcoming months to show up in my jewelry.
