Finished this this brooch today. I love the Japanese women I found on an old tea tin. It will go to Imagine in Skaneateles later this week.

I took a class yesterday with Julie Simancek at Studio 34 in Rochester and learned to make tiny rivets. Very much fun.

Yesterday the temperature flirted with 50 and I opened the windows of the car on the way home from work. I even saw a robin in the yard. Today there is a gale blowing, swirling snow, 18 degrees, and cancelled plans. I wonder where that poor bird is today? The workshop is a good place to hide out from the weather. Ah, all the ingredients for a new batch of earrings.

The class at Craft Chemistry went very well, all made great beads which became necklaces. A good group of students. The skies got very dark while there and a squall passed though Syracuse bringing white out conditions while all were hammering away. Quite a cacophony! Also included is a display of my products that Briana, the store owner with the great smile, has artfully arranged.

My new design of the week actually began last week at a meeting I doodled my way through. I'll have to copy the paper and glue it into my sketchbook!

Been getting ready for the bead class. I hope many attend and we have lots of fun. I want people to learn how fun it is to work with this material.

New Design
Snow days are great. I was able to work on a design I started earlier this year and bring it to fruition using some springs I had been fascinated with a while ago.
